Alat pendeteksi banjir yang baru ini mampu merasakan keberadaan air di suatu lingkungan.
Umumnya digunakan untuk melindungi dari banjir di ruang komputer, kantor, laboratorium, lingkungan khusus. Itu terdiri dari detektor (biasanya dipasang pada panel listrik) dan sensor (dipasang pada posisi yang sedang diperiksa).
Saat sensor basah oleh air, alarm diaktifkan secara otomatis pada detektor, mengalihkan status relai.
